From Gantschier to the Baroque Church Bartholomäberg

Diversified circular route with notable Montafon churches in the valley as well as on the mountain. Furthermore, you will also pass the Gauenstein Monastery during your tour. This route leads you from Gantschier via Vandans up to Bartholomäberg. Here you will find a baroque parish and pilgrimage church. Historical, as Bartholomäberg was the first parish in Montafon around the year 1100. You can get interesting facts and information directly on-site around this church. The tour then takes you over a varied path that constantly changes its condition, down to the Gauenstein Monastery. The service times in the monastery are always on Saturdays at 6:30 p.m. Currently, a Capuchin lay brother is permanently on site. On the way back from the monastery to Gantschier, you will pass two viewpoints. A short pause is recommended here. A view down into the valley is always impressive, regardless of the height. Then follow the path down to Gantschier, which you were just able to view from above. Here you now have the opportunity to visit another church if you have not already done so at the start of your route.
