Numerous sports facilities together form the Sportarena Montafon, making the town a popular venue for national and international competitions. The history of winter sports has also left a special mark on Tschagguns: In 1947, Vorarlberg’s first chairlift opened here, which was also the longest chairlift in Austria at the time.
