A special natural treasure in the Wiegensee European Protected Area
a habitat of exceptional rarity
Habitats of exceptional rarity, unique plant and animal species, and a breathtaking view of the Silvretta – on this walk through the three European protected areas of Schuttfluren Tafamunt, Wiegensee and Verwall, your nature guide will show you a natural environment that is second to none. The centrepiece of the tour is a unique moorland biotope at 1,900 metres above sea level: the Wiegensee, the oldest natural reservoir in the Montafon. On the way to the Verbellaalpe, you’ll experience various stages of moorland, tall herb communities and alpine meadows before heading back to the mountain station. In partnership with the Verwall-Klostertaler Bergwälder Nature Conservation Association – an exclusive tour for anyone looking for more than just an ordinary hike.
