On this short walk through town, you’ll immerse yourself in the vibrant world of Montafon folklore and discover the stories, characters, and settings that have been linked to the Silbertal for generations.

Legends and stories hold great cultural significance in the Montafon and are still passed down from generation to generation today. Many of the valley’s notable sites are associated with tales that recount extraordinary events, mysterious figures, and the way of life in times past.

You’ll also encounter many of these stories in the Silbertal. These include, for example, the legends of the Bruderhüsli, the Teufelsbach, the Petrus Keys in the Montafon coat of arms, and the Nachtvolk and the Stieralpe. You can listen to many of them in both the Montafon dialect and Standard German.
