Tour description

On the Legend Trail, you’ll discover mysterious sites related to the former mining operations on the Kristberg and immerse yourself in the world of Montafon legends as you wander through shady forests and take in sweeping views.

The Silbertal is a legendary side valley of the Montafon. For centuries, stories about miners, Christian events, and mysterious occurrences have been passed down here. On the Legend Trail, you’ll encounter these tales at their actual locations and learn, among other things, the stories behind the Miners’ Chapel, the Keys of St. Peter in the Montafon coat of arms, and the name of the Teufelsbach stream.

Among the special places along the tour are the “Bruderhüsli” in the Dalaaser Forest, the Wildried high moor, and other legendary sites. An audio guide accompanies you throughout the hike, providing additional information and legends. The tour also offers several opportunities to stop for a bite to eat.
