Gauenstein Monastery
The Gauenstein Monastery is one of the most beautiful Capuchin establishments in Vorarlberg. Since the early 18th century, there was a hermitage here with one or two forest brothers. The small church was consecrated on July 25, 1721, by the Prince-Bishop of Chur in honor of the Mother of Sorrows Mary.
Litz Chapel
The Litz Chapel on the ascent to Montjola and Bartholomäberg is a pilgrimage chapel that was built around 1688. The altar sculptures were created by Melchior Lechleitner, one of the most important sculptors of the second half of the 17th century. This is the beginning of the miners' path.
