Tour description

The path shows a new facet of the valley with its villages, scattered settlements, and cultural areas, highlighting electricity generation as an important economic factor of the region. Along the lifeline Ill, the route with a great view of the Vallüla leads from St. Gallenkirch to Gaschurn, with a rather agricultural character to Partenen, where the topic of energy becomes increasingly present.

The valley: Life pulses here, along with two rivers that give shape to the basin: Ill and Suggadin. Like lifelines, they mostly flow below the villages, where an impressive cultural diversity has developed. This is shown, among other things, in the Montafon dialect, which is intangible UNESCO World Heritage.
