The Valcastiel castle ruin (also Valkastiel) is a medieval castle ruin located at about 1,000 m above sea level. The ascent to the ruin can only be undertaken in summer and requires surefootedness and good footwear. The medieval remains suggest a chapel-like structure and show the foundation remains of a tower: at the lower end of the spur are wall remains with a fairly well-preserved round-arched window.
